Associate

Blue Dot Capital is a sustainable finance consultancy. We partner with financial services firms to support the end-to-end development and execution of ESG and impact investing programs, capabilities, and products. Our clients and partners include asset managers, alternative investment managers, family offices, and data providers.

We are looking to hire full-time Associates to support client engagements. 

Position Summary
Responsibilities

Client engagements 

  • Work with clients to support their ESG integration, product development, research, and reporting projects

  • Develop analytical ESG frameworks informed by best practices to deliver best-in-class integration frameworks for clients

  • Provide guidance to clients on integration of material ESG factors to inform and enhance investment decision-making and portfolio engagement

  • Research and content development for a variety of collateral like thematic ESG and impact reports, annual ESG reports, miscellaneous investor communications, etc. 

  • Work with our ESG SaaS partners to support clients’ ESG and impact measurement and monitoring 

  • Work with clients to establish alignment to ESG reporting requirements like emerging regulatory guidelines and frameworks/standards (SASB, CDP, TCFD, etc.)

  • Ability to cut through the ESG noise and present rigorous, evidence-based, actionable recommendations to clients

  • Work with client teams to develop processes and ensure timely completion of thorough, high-quality deliverables 

  • Over time, be an active member of new pitches 


Other responsibilities

  • Contribute towards developing Blue Dot’s internal content and insights library

  • Contribute to the team’s learning and support colleagues to stay on top of ESG developments 

  • Serve as a Blue Dot ambassador 

 

 

Requirements

  • Preferred experience – 2-4 years in: i) ESG program development role at a financial services firm ii) client management role at a consulting firm engaging with clients on their ESG program management iii) research, product development, product strategist roles at a data provider or iv) ESG industry/advocacy group 

  • Keen interest and a commitment to critically evaluate ESG topics, regulatory guidelines, standards, data solutions, etc. 

  • Comfortable engaging with client team members across various levels

  • Ability to perform comprehensive research on a wide range of E, S, and G topics and present findings succinctly

  • Impact investing experience will be considered a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to multitask

  • Entrepreneurial spirit 

  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • This is a full-time position 

  • We are a remote-first company. We convene from time to time for important planning meetings and team-building opportunities

  • Although New York is the preferred location, we are open to considering remote positions
